Awww our little Lex. What a gem. Here she is with the yummy cake Aunt Esther made for Lexi, Max and Luke's birthdays at Grandma's house. She's in wonderment.
In honor of Lexi turning 2 on September 27th, here is the annual post with details all about her!
Name: Alexia Anne, Lexi, Lexi Lou, Lulu, Lex, Dolly, Sweet Pea
Age: Two! (up till the day of, when she was asked how old she was, she'd say "four!")
Favorite Songs: Just Another Reason (she does the Oh oh part), If You're Happy and You Know It, Jesus Wants Me For a Sunbeam, Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes, I Am a Child of God. We've been getting some super fun, silly CD's from the library which have songs that she loves. She giggles and sings right along.
Favorite Animal: Dogs- she LOVES them! She gets so excited when she sees animals in person, and always wants to pet them and get close. I made her a doggy cake this year for her birthday (last year was a monkey), and she was so excited. "Doggy cake!" She also still loves monkeys and will be a monkey for Halloween. :)
Favorite Food: Avocado, spaghetti, cheese, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, meat and veggies, smoothies, watermelon, apples, berries, mac & cheese, chicken nuggets, ketchup. She's not a big dessert person- she usually could care less about sweets. Unlike her sister! She's a great eater, though.
Biggest Accomplishments: She learned to walk! Lexi has the cutest little run you've ever seen...her little chubby legs carrying her, with her chubby cheeks shaking. :) She's grown into a little lady with such a fun personality. She learned to say lots of words and little phrases. She started going to nursery, and cried for a couple weeks when we left her, but then grew to love it and now she goes right in and is always excited to play and have snacks. :) She sang I am a Child of God with the nursery kids in the primary program, and she looked soooo cute peeking over the ledge! Lex is quite the climber and dare devil, and she loves following the big kids, like on the playground. She can climb ladders and get to the highest slides, with a huge look of accomplishment on her little face!
Favorite Toys: bubbles, her new huge dog pillow pal, alphabet puzzle, Melissa and Doug puzzles, doll stroller, Mr. Potato Heads, the doll house, doggy and monkey stuffed animals, books- especially pop up and lift the flap kinds, purse and girlie things.
Favorite Activities: swinging, storytime at the library, reading books with Cami, eating, swimming, going down slides, going to nursery, riding in her new carseat, going to nursery, doing Weee, singing, taking socks and shoes off, playing with shoes and buckles, riding in the stroller, dressing up
Talents: Climbing, jumping, making people laugh, mastering the cheesey smile, putting on her own shoes, figuring out how to take her jammies off every night after we've put her to bed :), singing- she has the cutest little voice! She's very smart- so good at puzzles! She can put all the letters in the alphabet puzzle correctly. She has all the animal noises down pat, and she loves to count.
Most Endearing Qualities: She is very curious, precocious, active, and loving. She has an awesome sense of humor and makes us laugh every day. She is such a sweetheart and has genuine concern for others, and she's so fun to be around. There's nothin like her sweet smile showing off all those toddler teeth! She loves her grandmas and grandpas, and is good at winning their hearts over! She's also such a good sister and friend to Cami.
Qualities To Improve: She can have quite the temper! She's had her share of tantrums. She is also a squawker- she screeches really loud when she wants to, and it is very unpleasant!
Goals for Next Year: Potty training, perhaps? haha yeah right. Ditch the bottle...she still takes a bottle of milk in her crib at night. We need to lose that habit! Learn to say the whole alphabet, Maybe ditch the binkie? Maybe not...she only has one at naptime and bedtime. I have a goal to spend good quality one on one time with Lexi Lou while Cami's at preschool. Hopefully she'll keep taking a good long afternoon nap, which usually lasts from about 1 pm-4 pm. Cami still naps, too, which is great! We might get Lexi's bellybutton operated on, since it's slightly herniated. Maybe grow some longer hair, and keep those cute curls! And hopefully Lex will continue being healthy, curious, happy and our funny, favorite little toddler!

She loves to repeat anything Cami says, so that she can be part of the conversation. If she says something, and we don't really understand or if she doesn't know the words for what she wants to say, she sticks her tongue in and out.

I love this girl too! All her expressions make me smile- Lexi Lou just warms my heart! Must've been all those night feedings I got to do in her early days. Love her!
