America has a flag...it's red, white, and blue! We like singing that song. That's the only line I know of the song, too. Anyways, yay for the 4th of July! Oh what a fun time it always is. I took the girls to the Riverton parade on July 3rd, so instead of going to the West Jordan parade the next morning, we decided to venture to Centerville. Their parade is equally fun, with lots of candy, and we get to watch it with Grandma and Grandpa Yospe!
Haha don't ask me what Jake is doing in this picture. Biting off the top of the otter pop, I think. Nothin like free otter pops and candy at 9 in the morning! I love Lexi Lou's outfit.

Cam was pretty brave, and happy to run out into the middle of the road in between elements to grab more candy. We sat with Esther and Walter, too, and Cami and Walter had fun scurrying around together. After the parade, we stopped at the playground, and Jake freaked them out in the slide with his creepy arm.
Yospe barbeque time! We had a weenie roast. It was lovely, and the complete epitome of summer.

The kids love this racket/tennis ball game that Grandpa put together. It's kind of like tetherball, but with a tennis racket. It's kinda dangerous, though, since Grandma got whacked in the nose last week!

That evening, we went down south to continue the celebration at Brittney's house in Lehi! Cami and Lexi looked adorable in their matching patriotic dresses. More homemade ice cream and cookies! Luckies!
After dinner and dessert, we went outside and enjoyed our own fireworks! David had bought a huge box of firecrackers that we set off in the street.
And the neighbors had a bunch of fireworks that were going off left and right! It was awesome.

What a fun day with lots of cute pictures! I forgot that when my celebration was just beginning, you'd already had half a day of excitement! That was my first "escape" out of Stonehenge, and was sure fun to be with the family. And here's the rest of the song....
