Toone Family Cabin Vacation: Jackson Hole and Jenny Lake

I've got some catchin' up to do! This was a highlight of the summer, so of course it needs to be blogged! The annual Toone family cabin trip happened again this year, at the same cabin that we stayed in last year. My mom's friend owns a gorgeous, spacious cabin up in Island Park, Idaho, and graciously let us stay there again. Dad kind of wanted a new adventure, and opted to go somewhere else this year, but he was outnumbered. :) We all figured we wouldn't find a better fit for our whole family for a better price, and who doesn't love spending a week around Island Park and Yellowstone?

So the week of Pioneer Day, we took off on our adventure to the cabin, which was only a month after our little family had just been there. But I hadn't wanted to leave, so I was so glad we got to go again! I love it up there. It's just so peaceful and beautiful. I'm so glad Nathan and Allison drove all the way out here from St. Louis, and everyone was able to come on this vacation. Except Grandma Willes, who stayed behind to be a hostess to my uncle, but she was missed. Bree and Cassity stayed in the big cabin with my parents and Brittney's family, and we stayed in the smaller cabin above the garage with Nathan's lil fam. It worked out perfectly, and we had an awesome time!

One of the days, we all decided to venture out and visit Jackson Hole, Wyoming and the Tetons! It was the perfect day trip. We had a little picnic in the park in the center of town, and then took lots of pictures with the antler arches. I love Cami's pose in that first pic, and Ari's action shot!

Lexi gettin messy with yogurt and a peach.
My beautiful Mama! This was just about 4 weeks after her knee surgery, and she was a champ. She surprised us all with how quickly she healed and was able to walk around and do everything. Love her cute little orange Crocs.

Love this picture of Mama and daughters. We do look quite alike!
Chillin with Albert Einstein...Bree gettin frisky.
Cutie patooties with more statues. Lexi got a kick out of it.
And Cami Lamb looks so grown up!
Sitting on Benjamin Franklin's lap, I do believe.

Strollin through the shops...
After we left Jackson, we drove to the Tetons to visit Jenny Lake. These mountains are so incredible and majestic!
Jake and I did this hike to Hidden Falls when we were dating, so it was fun to come back and do it again with 2 little kiddos in tow. Lexi enjoyed her free ride in the backpack, and Jake was a champ.

The hike was beautiful, after we'd ridden across the lake on the boat. Even Mom hiked up the steep, rocky, rough terrain! This was a view along the way.
Cassity and her trusty Camelback.
These girlies are inseparable. They even held hands while hiking. Love them!

This is when we reached our destination- Hidden Falls. It makes the hike all worth it!
I loved the cool tree roots.
Family shot! We were just missing Nathan and Allison....they had to abort their plans to come when Katelyn got sick in the car. :( We missed them!
Our little fam
Sister selfie!
Can't resist catching a few of this cutie and her cheesey smile!

On the boat on the way back, the sky was blue, the weather was perfect, and the view was gorgeous.
Somebody loved the ride!
The wind blowing through her little toddler hair....hehe.
It was the perfect ending to a beautiful day.
