Easter Family Fun

We had a wonderful Easter Sunday! I wasn't able to get too excited for it ahead of time, because I had some serious post-delivery bowel issues. Constipation is not my friend, but it sure does like to visit! Well Saturday was just miserable for me...but an enema, tons of fiber, several laxatives, lots of pain and a healing blessing later, I was good as new at midnight! I was so worried that I was going to have to go to the ER on Easter, which is what the doctor had said if things didn't get better for me that night, but thank goodness they did. My mom drove up from my sister's house to help get Cambria ready on Sunday morning and to go to church with us. It was mine and Cambria's first time since she was born, and we enjoyed Sacrament meeting, and then headed back home so as not to over do it. :) And we were having my whole family over for dinner later and needed to start cookin!

It was so much fun...we had everyone over for a big turkey dinner. It was like Thanksgiving! And then we had an Easter Egg hunt in our yard for my nephews and Bree and Nathan who always appreciate candy and a good hunt. :) My mom, Jake and I had fun filling the tons of eggs and hiding them all over the back and front yard. It made me excited to start doing it for Cambria next year when she knows a little more of what's going on! Here's some pictures of the enjoyable and beautiful day!

Here's our little Easter pixie. This is the first real outfit she's worn, that doesn't include footies and snaps. :) She wears it well! Just didn't seem too thrilled at the time...

I love this little sleeper that she wore later that day...it says Baby's 1st Easter and has a pink fuzzy bunny tail on the back and bunny footies. Too cute.

And what's Easter without a little egg dying? Jake and I wanted to but never got around to it, so when I went down to Springville to visit Brittney the day after Easter, Bryan and I got to it! It was so cute to see his amazement and excitement at the "science" of it all. The fun never lessens for me either! So it was an awesome Easter full of fun festivities, but it was great to remember the true meaning...our Savior. I'm SO grateful for Him and for His Gospel, and that's He's given us families to enjoy and to love!
