Bonding With Cousin Ari

Cambria and my sister Brittney's daughter, Ariana, have had plenty of play sessions so far. Cam is 5 weeks older, but Ari has quickly passed her by in weight and size. But they have fun together, and always look at each other so inquisitively. They take turns being blanket hogs and not keeping their hands to themselves, but they don't hold grudges against each other. If Cambria was crying, it used to make Ariana cry because she's sensitive and seems to feed off other's emotions. And if Ari was crying, Cam usually just watched her with a concerned look on her face. Ariana lays on her back and flails her arms and legs and makes little squeaks, and Cambria always wants to roll around or just lay and chill when she's feeling mellow. Here's some fun pictures of them together over the past couple months.

First time in a swimsuit! They didn't actually swim, but they sure look cute in them. I love the little ruffles. I thought Cam looked like a mini ballerina. She's looking a little aggressive in this picture!

This was at a barbeque at my grandma's house with the family and my cousin, Allyson's baby, who's about a month older than Cambria. Cam was so tired, but Ariana was claiming her space!

This was the day my mom flew in back in June. She met Ariana for the first time and got to see Cambria again, so she was one happy Grandma! They had so much fun spending time with her.

They both matched the blankie in this one! I thought it was cute, they were pretty much holding hands.

And below, well.....it pretty much speaks for itself. You can see how Cambria felt about Ariana sharing her bouncer seat and licking her head.

This was probably the first time they got together to "play" and get to know each other. Cambria wasn't so sure about it at first.

But they quickly warmed up to one another and are becoming cute little friends, even if it does just involve looking at each other and swiping at each other's faces. :) It'll be fun to see them grow up together!
