Tis the Season To Be Jolly!

My favorite season of the year- the Holidays! We started on Black Friday by going to the mall for an FM100 Christmas concert, where we ran into Mrs. Claus. She was serving hot chocolate, and Cami was in awe of her. What a pretty lady in white and vibrant red!

I asked Cami to write down her Christmas list one day, and this is what she came up with. She just needed help with the spelling, but not bad for a 4 year old!
It says:
Fishing Rod
Barbie
Book
Kitchen
Shoes
Pet
Cat
Pink Barbie House

:) Cute little Cam Cam. Fishing rod was number 1 on her list, and we still don't know why. She knew Mae got one last year so she thought she needed one too.

We spent a fun evening going downtown and riding Trax to City Creek for dinner and to the Jazz Game.
The girls were pretty excited to be riding Trax!
 Candy holiday windows at Macy's.

We got to visit with lots of Santas during the Holidays, and this one was at Home Depot! After building a toolbox for the kids workshop, Cami and Lex got to sit on his lap and get a candy cane. Look, it's Mike Wizowski from Monsters, Inc.!
Lexi decided last minute to climb up there. haha awkward position, but cute pic.
Here's our tree, all lit and ready! The little basket underneath the tree was our manger for baby Jesus. Each day we tried to do acts of service, and then at night we would write them down on small strips of yellow paper and put them in the manger to serve as hay. The idea was to have a nice cozy soft bed for Jesus on Christmas morning. We really enjoyed doing it throughout the month, and it was a good reminder for service!
We went to the tree lighting ceremony in South Jordan and the girls enjoyed the hot chocolate and cookies, but it was wayyy too cold to be outside that night!
Yay for the Festival of Trees! We go every year and we always love it. I think I love it more than Jake does, who could do without the insane crowds. But it's just so festive and fun!
In the kids activity/game section, we bought tickets so that Cami and Lex could do some fun things. Here they're getting manicures! I love that they both love getting their nails painted. Lexi's such a big girl!
Monsters University tree with the librarian!
 Mmmm the beloved scone.
 Cute little princess tree
This was an amazing gingerbread house! Mmmm makes you just want to devour it!
 Candy tree
After the Festival, we stopped at a place to meet Santa and have some treats. I always know the free fun things to do, you know. ;) This picture makes me laugh....Jake was so proud of himself for getting 2 tops going on his spoon.
We were entertaining ourselves while waiting for our picture with Santa to print. :) And so the festivities continue!
