Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!

 On Christmas Eve day, I took the girls to Thanksgiving Point. I think I had to take something to the theater for Jake, so we went to Farm Country storytime and the Curiosity Museum. The girls got to make these adorable reindeer hats at storytime. Check out Lexi's cute fingernails!

 Luckily, the Cami tickling herself was just a phase. :) I love Lexi's smile in this one.

 That evening, we enjoyed Christmas Eve dinner with the Yospe's for the annual chinese restaurant dinner. We've gone to Joy Luck in the past, but this year they decided to go with PF Changs. It has great gluten free options, which was so nice of them to think about! The place was packed, so we chatted and waited to be seated. It was us, Grandma and Grandpa Yospe, Abe's family, and Esther. The food was delicious.

 When we got home, Cami couldn't wait to sprinkle her Grinch Dust on the front lawn that she had gotten at school. It was supposed to keep the Grinch from stealing Christmas. :)

 We had most of the gifts wrapped and under the tree, as we settled down to read the nativity story and open up one present.

 Christmas jammies, of course! I love the anticipation on their faces.

Milk and cookies out, stockings hung by the chimney with care, the girls nestled in their beds with visions of sugar plums dancing in their heads, we went to bed.

On Christmas morning, the stockings were filled, and presents were left out from Santa for the girls! A new pink scooter and a gumball machine for Cami, and a bike and Legos for Lex.

 She had really wanted a gumball machine! I'm glad she was happy with this one. :)

 Wooo hoo, a big girl bike! It's pretty teensy, and probably too small for her, but Lexi was happy.

 We've kind of worked out our Christmas morning tradition for our family (although Jake is still getting used to it :) We stay in our jammies, see what Santa brought and look in our stockings and read our nice notes that we wrote to each other throughout the month. Then we stop and I start making breakfast, which on this morning it was scrambled eggs, bacon, and apple compote cinnamon rolls. It was yum!

 After breakfast, we opened up some presents and then Grandma and Grandpa Yospe came over with Esther and Walter. They brought some fun things and I hope they didn't mind the messy house!

 Jake and I gave them our gift, and we bid them farewell until we'd be at their house later that day.

 Cami opened up a fish tank! It had a note on it that said she would get to pick out her new fish when we got home from our trip to Pennsylvania. She was super excited!

 And Mom sent me a beautiful pillow from Latter Day Home that was designed and written by Stephanie Nielson (Nie Nie). Such a perfect surprise that touched my heart. I display it proudly in our living room now, and love the reminder every day.

 Amen.

Well, the present un-wrapping finally came to an end, after I opened lots of fun things from Jake like cake decorating supplies! We all had lots of new fun things. And the girls were excited to try out their new rides, so we went outside.

 Such a cool chick!

 My little puzzle queen. She got a few new puzzles, and couldn't wait to get started on them.

 Christmas night was spent at the Yospe's with the whole fam, which was lovely as always. We had a big fancy dinner of chicken cordon bleu and sparkling cider, opened presents, and put on the nativity play. Lexi got to be an angel this year with Mae. Little beauty!

 And Cami played Mary, with Max as Joseph, and Calder (who is 8) as Jesus. :)

 Behold the big swaddled bundle on the floor. The kids all got a kick out of it.

Since nobody wanted to wear the star this year, Grandma graciously volunteered and did a fabulous job. After the play, Clark started singing Christmas hymns and we all joined in, and it was an awesome family sing along. I love moments like that! Definitely a wonderful way to end Christmas. We are so grateful for our two families, and for all the love and support we receive from them. Merry Christmas, we love you all!
