Well, these posts are kind of backwards. But this wraps up the San Francisco trip for us with pictures of our first day in the city! This first picture is of me on the airplane after we got up at 4 and left bright and early, landing us in Oakland around 7! Perfect for a whole day of adventure.
After we checked into the Holiday Inn on Fisherman's Wharf, we took off to see and do all the fun things that every tourist does! That included the aquarium, of course.
And Pier 39 a couple times...
This was a yummy Chinese restaurant we went to in Chinatown. After searching and debating forever, we finally walked into this place because it was full of Chinese people! We took that as a good sign. I don't really eat with chopsticks, it was just for the picture. :)
Jake sure does love his sourdough bread! That was probably his favorite part.
Mmmmm so delectable!!! Nothin beats hot clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl on the pier.
Except for maybe a good drink from the toilet! These are from the Exploratorium, that fun scientific discovery museum that I used to take field trips to as a kid! We explored for awhile and did some fun hands on activities. How often do you get to blow giant bubbles??
And who can go to San Francisco without stopping at Ghirardelli Square for their fudge brownie sundae?! This was a nice addition to the whole trip, which was just wonderful. Thanks, Jake, for taking me back there and for letting me relive so many memories!! Definately a trip to remember.

I haven't been homesick for California for a long time, but that did it to me! Maybe it was the clam chowder bowl and Sweet Retreat cone...and seeing our beloved Randol School...ah the memories! So glad you were able to go back and relive them. We'll have to do that sometime too! Thanks, Jake, for indulging her! =)
