All Dressed Up With Places to Go, People to See

Do you ever get that thing where you look at a word and say it out loud and it seems so weird and foreign? That just happened to me with the word "dress". ANYways, here's some cute pictures of Cami Lamb all dressed up for various occassions. In this first one, she was on her way to church and looking so cute with that scottie dog jumper outfit.

Here, we went to my brother in law, David's brother's wedding reception. It was at a beautiful venue in Orem and a really nice reception with a yummy soup bar. It was nice to see Javi so happy with his beautiful bride! Cami donned this little black dress that I got for $2 last year.

Brittney and her family were part of the wedding party and looked so gorgeous! Ari was adorable, and Cam had fun hanging out with her for a little bit and doing a little dancing.

Here's another pretty church dress that Mom got from a garage sale and Cami looked beautiful! I think this was the day of our ward Primary program, which I got to write and execute, and the kids did great. One of the best parts was when the nursery kids went up and sang "Jesus Said Love Everyone" with the Sunbeams. Precious! Cam sat on my lap by the microphone since her little forehead was all you could see from the congregation. She didn't join in the singing, but it's just weird that she's old enough for these things already! She loves the song, though, and whenever I start to sing it, she automatically thinks of nursery and says excitedly, "Weeeee! Blub blub blub. Oooweeowahh." (Which stands for going down the little slide, eating fishie crackers, and coloring) :)

And last but not least, we said goodbye to Jake's Grandma, dear Grandma Yospe, at her funeral on October 25. She passed away on Wednesday night after almost everyone got to go visit her and say goodbye. It was hard on Jake- he really loved her and was very close to her. But it was so nice to know that she would be free and happy and with her sweetheart again. She was such a loving, strong beautiful woman and I remember the first time I met her at a Yospe family Sunday dinner, and how friendly and welcoming she was to me.

Five things that stick out when I think of her are: Her great sense of humor that all the grandkids loved to laugh about, that she loved to read and would stay up late reading and often enjoyed a late night snack of Saltines and warm milk, how loving she was to Cambria and how she would always comment on what an alert and curious baby with a big personality Cami was, that she was a big game person and enjoyed playing Sequence, Hand and Foot and tons of other games at the cabin and at home, and that she and Grandpa Max loved each other very much from what I've read, heard and seen in pictures. She had a picture hanging up on her cabinet at home that Max had drawn for her years ago in pencil, of her all dressed up in a gown and him in a tux handing her a rose, and he'd written "I Adore You." How sweet is that?? And of course the beloved Yospe cabin will always serve as a great memory of Grandma and Grandpa Yospe and the many years of family memories.

It was a lovely service, on a VERY cold day. Here's a few pictures of the gravesite, with Mae and Cambria all dressed up and enjoying the roses they got to keep.

Cam wasn't crying because we were at a funeral- she just didn't want to get off the velvety chair. She didn't understand what was going on, obviously, but when we went to the viewing the night before, she looked at Grandma in the casket and said "Sshhhhhh. Grandma, Shhhhh."
