What would a Jazz game be without the BEAR?! He pulls so many gadgets out of his furry behind, it's great! This one really made me laugh...it started on the ground and worked with hydraulics or something to make it get higher and higher until of course everyone was on their feet probably wondering if he was going to bungee jump from it or something. Hmmm there's an idea...bungee from the raftors!
They had some nice fireworks at the beginning, and then a drum line sponsored by RC Willey played on trash cans and bass drums later, which is always fun.
This was the most AMAZING act during halftime!! There was a magician guy and his lady assistant, and his show is called the "Changing Lady" or something totally appropriate to what happens. He would pull one of those colorful sheets up over her and cover her for a split second, and then drop it and she'd be in a totally different outfit! It would go from a full length dress to a little leotard cha cha number with her hair a different color and all this crazy stuff. The last time, he just got a handful of that silver confetti and dumped it on her, and she appeared in that full patriotic get-up, which left everyone with their chins in their laps wondering how that's even possible without being of the devil or something. Who knows.
And of course the Bear has to do his stunts. So if you look closely above the red carpet, you'll see a smokey blur, and that's Bear after riding down the whole flight of stairs on a bike and flying off a curved ramp through a cloud of smoke. Pointless, yet impressive and daring. Who doesn't like to see someone, let alone a guy in a bear suit, do stupid stuff and risk his life repeatedly?? All in all, we had a lot of fun at the games and hope to see em back for the 2nd and 3rd series and very possibly into the Championships! GO JAZZ.
